Tenshi, also known by their full name Tenshi Azrael (天使アズラエル), is a voicebank for the UTAU and OpenUtau programs.

Profile[]

Tenshi is an extroverted and mischievous pop idol, under KZQ Entertainment. Tenshi was sent to Earth from the heavens in order to foil the devilish plans of the demon pop idol, Kijo.

Etymology details[]

Name: TENSHI ( 天使 ) - 天 (Heaven) 使 (Messenger). AZRAEL ( アズラエル ) - Angel Of Death

Character details[]

Description: Tenshi is an androgynous, pink haired angel. His hair is a light pink colour, with darker streaks. He has pointed, elf-like ears, with a small wing-like horn above each one. The left horn has a silver cross on it. His hands are stained black, and have long, claw-like nails. When in angel form, Tenshi has a golden halo above his head, and a pink tail protruding from his lower back. These are not present when Tenshi is on Earth.
Outfit: Tenshi’s casual outfit consists of an oversized white jacket with black and red details, black leggings, and dark grey converse with red wings on the heels. During idol performances, Tenshi wears various ouji-inspired outfits.
Likes: Sweets, cats, cute things.
Dislikes: Boredom, plain food.

Voicebank details[]

It is recommended to use the Worldline-r resampler when tuning Tenshi's vocals.
Tenshi’s beta voicebank was created in June 2025 and was distributed to a small group of beta testers.
Tenshi -Seraph- is Tenshi’s standard voicebank. It is a monopitch, Japanese CV voicebank. It uses the same samples from the beta voicebank, but with a reworked oto.
Tenshi -Azrael- is Tenshi’s soft, multilingual voicebank. It is a monopitch voicebank that includes Japanese CV samples, English C+V samples, and Irish C+V samples. Please note that the samples for this voicebank were recorded on an iPhone microphone and have a "crunchier" sound than Tenshi's other voicebanks.

Trivia[]

Tenshi was created and voiced by Studio Countdown employee Ben O'Connell. Ben produces vocaloid music under the pseudonym Angelsynth.
Tenshi's theme songs are Electric Angel by Yasuo-P, and Boku No Kamisama by Hanyuu Maigo.
A female counterpart to Tenshi, named Kijo, was released on the 7th of December, 2025.
