Pausu Otozaka is a Japanese voicebank for the UTAU program. It was originally intended to debut as a Virtual YouTuber on November 17th, but instead was given an UTAU voicebank prior to their intent of debuting as a Virtual YouTuber on the 10th.

History

On November 1st, 2020, Pausu first appeared as Meloro in a video featuring them react to an ASMR video made by its creator, illustrator and voice provider. On November 25th, 2020, Pausu Otozaka has received an Append voicebank.

Concept

Pausu initially appeared as Meloro with pink eyes and a skirt until its skirt was removed and its dress now reaches its long pink corset, its left iris was changed from pink to blue, its pupil and necktie knot now serves as a music player according to its own concept art. For example, in this image, it is set to the play button symbol. Pausu however, doesn't have any established personalities like some UTAUloids.

Etymology

  • 音坂 (Otozaka): Sound Slope or Hill.
  • ぱうす (Pausu): Pause written in hiragana, but e is replaced with u.
  • Their name actually means Pause Sound Hill or Pause Sound Slope.

Appearance

Pausu's hair color is pink and has an expressive ahoge, yet it doesn't have any headgear. Its iris colors are blue and pink, and pupils serves as a music player.
