Nana Yui (永那唯) is a voicebank for the UTAU program.
Background[]
Nana was an ordinary child that ended up succumbing to the most unfortunate of fate and circumstances.
They were seen as a bit of an outcast and kept at a distance by the friends they attempted to make. Their intentions were always pure and they never intended to do harm onto anyone, merely wanting a support system and people who would mutually care about them in the way they wished for. They desperately needed an outlet. And when that outlet was crumbled or simply nonexistent in the first place, it led to a long line of insanity and symptoms of painful mania that would cause their mind to be a living battleground of intrusive thoughts, second-guessing and fear. Their brain would romanticize the future and fantasize about a better life. They attempted to combat and mask the symptoms as best as they could, but oftentimes to no avail. When they would show, it would only worsen their situation. They always attempted to apologize for their actions, but it would fall on deaf ears more often than it didn't.
Nana passed away at the tragic age of fourteen due to unknown causes. No one knows if it was brought about by an external source or their own hand. Due to the lingering feelings within them, their soul refused to move on into the next life. Nana's lack of closure within, caught up with the memory of their mother, became stuck between the realms of the living and the dead. They became locked in the planes of reality itself, unable to move on past purgatory and lingering about, searching for a closing chapter between the boundaries of the afterlife, where only the most dampened of spirits sorrowfully wandering for release and closure.
Nana's personality took a drastic turn after they left this world. They were rendered into nothing more than a hollow version of what they once were. They became silent and would simply aimlessly wander, never uttering a single word and always holding a detached look upon their face. Nana had entirely given up on themselves and their soul from their life. In spite of that, they can oftentimes be heard peacefully singing--or, what one might call lamenting.
They were a special case, though, as many other spirits could not communicate or even perceive them, only feeling a sad aura near them when their presence was nearby. One of the only deities that could connect with them was the angel of healing known as Iyashi. Iyashi found Nana's lost soul somewhere in the fathomless pits of the in-between, where she could immediately sense a deep pain that carried Nana on to this place, and prevented them from moving on. Iyashi was the harbinger of peace and serenity to those who could not move on, and oftentimes would help those in need, due to her own tragic circumstances. In spite of this, Iyashi found it incredibly difficult to mend the spirit of Nana. For the first time, though, Nana felt safe and secure; a feeling that had not overtaken them in quite some time, whether it be in life or death.
The two clung to each other for a feeling that both had been deprived of. Iyashi felt a great deal of compassion for them, as she had lost her own child, which inevitably led to her own demise and later becoming an angel. For Nana, this symbol and beacon of peace was much needed. Iyashi now serves as a guardian of sort, with both helping each other heal in this spectral universe.
Concept[]
Everything stated about this character is CANON information. It is not mandatory that you make content following this information. They may be depicted in any way regardless of their canon information as long as it follows the UTAU software terms of use.
Nana, when they were alive, was a typical child on the surface that fought with many demons beneath. They were perceived as normal early on, but later fell prey to many stereotypes attached to them due to the way they would act out for affection. Their deep sense of longing and desire for love carried them on in their life as best as it could. They wished to be friendly and have people around them who cared for them as much as they cared back. Otherwise, they were a very reclusive, quiet child that simply minded their own business more often than not.
