- Name: Ishimaru (石丸) - "a circular stone." Michiyo (ミチヨ) - "three beautiful generations." I shi marumi chiyo (いしまるみちよ) - One day to see the whole world.

Dress design is somewhat inspired from a Pokemon trainer, according to the designer, mx. Michiyo's design and voices gives her a very calm and cool approach, when in reality Michiyo was initially designed to be upset and angry at everyone.

- She's designed to be older, smarter, and more mature than Chiyo. She can be classified as somewhat of a Tomboy.
- In the minds of her creator, Michiyo is a health nut, exercising and eating well. In comparison, it is almost ironic how Chiyo eat only sweets and fattening foods, yet doesn't gain any weight.
- Michiyo seems to be more observant than Chiyo or Fjord, even so she doesn't mommy them in any way.
