Kokoro Koine (恋音ココロ Koine Kokoro) is a UTAU voicebank created by StarryCake.

About[]

Kira Hoshine and Kokoro Koine are a pair of mysterious deer and bunny-like entities. It is thought that they are in a relationship. Kira is upbeat and eccentric, whilst Kokoro is more reserved and serious, and can also be quite stubborn at times. Both have a mischievous side. By utilising the star-shaped antennae atop their heads with their minds, they are able to lift all sorts of things up into the air, no matter how big or small. And, they especially find it very enjoyable to drop said objects onto… unsuspecting people.

Koine Kokoro GLAM (TBA)[]

The second installment in the series. CV voicebank. Power-like voice. Recorded in a higher range, and in a mild shouting/yelling sort of voice. “Ra” row sounds much more aggressive and distinctive. Sounds somewhat (and unintentionally) Kasane Teto-esque.

Trivia[]

Koine Kokoro GLAM represents dark (evil) whilst Hoshine Kira SASAYAKI represents light (good).
The “glam” part in the name of Koine Kokoro GLAM comes from the term “glitz and glam”.
A reason as to why GLAM’s trills are much more aggressive, is because StarryCake was having trouble with trilling them.
Her voice in the original installment was recorded in StarryCake’s natural range, having a distinct, deep raspy essence.
Koine Kokoro’s range is much lower than StarryCake’s own range (albeit slightly), but still very much lower.
When recording the “ra” row for her UTAU voicebanks, StarryCake trills the Rs, and Koine Kokoro has distinct trilled R sounds.
Her creation date is older than Kira’s, being made back in November of 2024. She wasn't originally intended for release.
It wasn't until Hoshine Kira's design was conceptualised, that Koine Kokoro's design was made as a counterpart to Hoshine Kira.
Her creation spanned through late-2024 to mid-2025. Kokoro was created in the span of StarryCake being 16 years old, and finished development after she turned 17 in the same month that Koine Kokoro was released in, nine days after StarryCake's birthday.
Starry found it funny that Koine Kokoro and Hoshine Kira came out one month before the news of "zombie bunnies" and "zombie deers" (Shope papilloma virus and deer cutaneous fibroma respectively) made headlines.
Despite Koine Kokoro being green, one of StarryCake's least favourite colours is green, and she also finds it ironic that she likes a couple of green UTAUs.
Koine Kokoro and Hoshine Kira were originally going to have birthdays, February 14th (Koine Kokoro) and July 7th (Hoshine Kira) respectively, alluding to their names, but this was scrapped. The birthday July 7th (meant to refer to Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival) in particular was scrapped, due to its association in the UK with the 7/7 bombings of 2005.
