The older sister of Zoe, with whom she has a very complicated relationship with, and the younger sister of Justin, who she absolutely despises.
Iris grew up a relatively outgoing individual, who enjoyed a grand amount of popularity within her circle. She was involved in soccer, and excelled at most of the physical activities she did. However, her grades tended to suffer as she tended to not 'apply herself' to more academic ventures. Throughout her schooling, she had an underlying feeling of discontent with herself, but not so crippling that it was consuming.
During her teenage years, she began to realize she had symptoms of gender dysphoria after discovering facts about it online. Up until that point, Iris had dysphoria in a way of, "I do not mind what I am, I just wish I was something else", but after she was met with that realization, it began to spiral and drastically change her perception of herself, resulting in her becoming reclusive and much more meek, as well as being noticeably less enthusiastic about the interests she once had.
Her personality started to deviate from her once charismatic and charming self to a more confrontational, bitter, cynical demeanor. She would engage in long arguments with her family--a family with a heavily religious and conservative background--, grow more and more distant from her siblings, and would find herself in her room for hours at a time.
For all her life, her and Zoe (Devon at this time) were inseparable. The rifts caused were unrepairable. And after years of battles, Iris finally stepped forward and explained to her parents what was happening in her head and why.
This exploded into a frenzy, in which her parents cursed her out and outcast her. Zoe, being unable to intervene, interject and lacking the words to, and her brother agreeing with her parents, she was compliantly kicked out from the house, resorting to living on the streets at the age of 18. This is why most of Iris's old personality left, and her new one flourished.
She became savvy and street smart, moving from place to place in homeless shelters and finding any way to sustain herself as she could. Still struggling with her dysphoria, with no way to fix it, she would spend some of the only amounts of money she received to buy clothes from local thrift stores and eat off of dollar menus at restaurants, surviving off of the shelters, living under bridges, and becoming a nomad of the city.
Vulnerable, desperate and in need of any sort of euphoria and funds, she found herself engaging in prostitution, as she found the money she'd received and the affirmation would be a quick thrill and buzz. It did not take her long to realize how fast that could fade away, as she began to get viewed as an object and a personalized 'freak' for the entertainment of depraved individuals to get a fix of. This resulted in her contracting HIV, and having herself lost along the way.
Steadily, her mentality began to change as she broke. She began to save up the money she received, numbly complying to whatever she had to do to survive, and detached from that lifestyle to work two local jobs as a waitress and a janitor, still living out of anywhere she could find and scraping by. Over the months, she saved enough for a small flat, and things began to miraculously look up.
Years down the line, Iris had not forgotten about where she was, or the family she lost. And in an attempt to reclaim her own body and image, she began to professionally do adult content online, as well as her normal jobs, living in a comfortable lifestyle. Overtime, she managed to receive numerous gender-affirming surgeries, and even legally changed her name.
While the past did not disappear, and her roots will always be there, Iris utilizes the teachings of the streets she was forced to succumb to, and the industry she was warped by, to make decisions that benefit herself. She is extremely independent, not afraid to speak her mind, and will always take a stand for the things she believes in...especially if she thinks it would hurt her.

Iris is a baddie. She is a boss bitch, and isn't afraid to show it.
She's an avid party-goer, who loves raves, night clubs and festivals. When approached, she can come across as confrontational, but not bratty. She finds a great deal of pride in her own body and appearance, and takes great care to maintain it. She is a fan of all things alternative, with a love for the controversial and daring. She's always ready to take on a challenge and prove someone wrong, and takes great satisfaction in doing so.
She is notoriously a power freak, and she tends to strive to be in control at all times, having her say in what happens in her life and joint projects, having a stubborn and hardheaded demeanor in the face of change. This does make her a great leader in certain situations, but an annoyance in others. She overcompensates her past by being forceful and aggressive with how she treats others, carrying herself with an aura of criticism towards others and high standards for herself to live up to.
She comes across as catty/bitchy to those who don't know her well. If you're on her good side, she is a gem to be around. If you are on her bad side, prepare to feel the wrath of Hell on your throat. She is also EXTREMELY blunt, giving her opinion no matter the context. Her mouth gets her into trouble, as she is never willing to back down from a fight or verbal altercation until she feels like she is right, as she is very opinion oriented and fiery. This bluntness is both an endearing trait to others, but one of her biggest flaws.
Iris, when not performing, prefers to be more tomboyish, and can often be seen wearing more 'masculine' clothes. She does not feel uneasy dressing in such a way, as traditionally 'passing' doesn't interest her that much, as she has a great deal of confidence in herself and those around her. Because of this style choice, as well as her personality, some of her close friends might refer to her as 'boyish', but not in the offensive way. She doesn't uphold some of the classic dress or personality standards of rigid femininity, preferring to go forward at the beat of her own drum.
