GLaDIS (グラディス) is a character and a voicebank for the UTAU program.

History

GLaDIS is one of the UTAU produced for the FRAloids original 2010 series. She is the 15th entry on the FRAloids index. GLaDIS was remastered and recieved a new artwork in 2014 as part of the FRAloids Revision project.

FRAloids Revision was an operation conducted for the 4th anniversary of FRAloids in order to rebrand and/or remaster some of the early FRAloids characters.

Concept

GLaDIS is a 16 years old karate fighter. She is stern, apathetic and heartless.

Etymology

  • GLaDIS - Is a mash-up of the names "GLaDOS" and "Gladisse" (the french spelling of Gladys).

Appearance

  • Hair color - Wite, light blue
  • Eye color - Yellow
  • Outfit - A blue crop top with a blue skirt and yellow details.

Trivia

  • GLaDIS' identification number is FRA16.
  • GLaDIS is a UTAU parodying the Portal character "GLaDOS"
    • Her older design featured "Emotion Cores" from Portal in her hair
    • Her voice samples also have been altered with Melodyn in the style of GLaDOS
    • Her family name "PORTAloid" in reference to the video game Portal
  • She is the first robot character in FRAloids.
    • In her older artwork she still had a human skintone, but was already refered to as a robot.
  • GLaDIS has no modern counterpart.
