Freedom is a voicebank for the UTAU program.
Background[]
Within the life of a mortal, Freedom serviced the world as a gifted writer with unparalleled ability to use words as a way to capture the essence of the human experience. He was a romanticist through-and-through, leaning more into the fantastical depictions of the spirit of mankind as opposed to the more gritty, realistic takes that other writers would take to depict such things. He was drawn to the deep reaches that the psyche reached and how far it could be pushed to the limit without breaking.
He was a literary genius from a young age, reading at a level far beyond his categories. He excelled in any form of artistic representation via literature, whether reading and analyzing the deeper meanings at a higher level or simply creating his own stories and poems. But while he was a prodigy and held up on a pedestal, this brilliance that he showed towards his craft came with a dark price, as there is always an ebb and flow--much like the very things he would read about inside the pages of the stories he held so dear.
The writing he was obsessed with and consumed by the passion of lead into an all-consuming addiction. He developed a drive that bordered heavily on madness to anyone on the outside-looking-in. He grew a sense of severe isolation for weeks if not months at a time with no respite. Through the studies he did upon stories, or the mental examinations he did within his own, it only lead him to a loss of adequacy within himself and living by surrogate through that escape, as writing his feelings down were the only way to externalize them in some capacity.
His later life after this was marked by a series of self-destructive habits that ramped up rapidly overtime. Beyond the gnawing sense of inadequacy with either his appearance or voice, he never felt as if his works were high enough quality, making it so his perfectionism took the forefront. He would sacrifice his own mental and physical wellbeing for the sake of dedicating his entire time to writing. He would incessantly write and rewrite the same paragraphs or pages for hours on end and still not feel perfect enough; stuck endlessly deliberating on the endless struggle of discovering perfect words that did not exist.
Next-to-no eyes ever laid themselves upon his gorgeously strung together words. He was heavily reserved with showing anything he ever wrote. That, alongside the isolation causing him to refrain from conversing regularly with others, caused there to be a major disconnect between him and outside world.
The dedication of his entire life being surrounded by the human spirit and his tragedy lead him to becoming an angel in the next. His fixation upon writing only intensified, doubling over as both a blissful sanctuary of tranquility and an endless torment. Every bit of his being goes to his work, hoping to find redemption for his lost time and failures and to find some hope within his prose. In spite of his divine nature, the looming feeling of the ghosts of his past linger on his back and wrap themselves around his ankles like a ball and chain--moments of the ambition evermore lost, the relationships he had lost sight of through his inability to turn his focus away, and the lines that he crossed both for himself and towards others in the name of the art that took hold and tore apart every bit of his humanity. This has lead the vast majority of his writing to chase an atonement of sorts; reflecting a tortured beauty and saccharine sorrow with themes of loss, redemption and the search for a higher meaning in a world that simply does not make sense to you any longer.
Freedom's duties as an angel are oftentimes overshadowed by the relentless pursuit of literary perfection, much akin to his life. His fellow angels, while respecting his talents, view his obsession--and, as a result, him--with a mixture of pity, concern and adoration. The are impressed beyond words, but saddened by his affliction. They understand each angel's path to redemption follow a different path entirely, though it does not change their worry for him and pity. His is tied to writing, though the toll it has taken on him is very apparent. Freedom himself is acutely aware of this, but is so driven by a need to atone for his past and to make sense of his existence that he simply does not pay much mind to it, unknowingly carrying on the very burden he is attempting to run away from.

Freedom is an articulate wordsmith with a sharp precision with his words and a selective focus. His voice is calm and melodic, showing both warmth and authority, though he seldom speaks. He is a walking encyclopedia of sorts, holding a vast knowledge of many subjects; everything from the most ancient of texts to cutting-edge modern sciences. He approaches each topic with a measured enthusiasm and thirst for insight. His ability to recall said information with pinpoint accuracy makes him a revered advisory to the heavenly council and also Earthly matters. Even if he is held back due to his own past insecurities, he holds deep empathy for others and a deep-seated desire to share his knowledge in ways that are understandable and accessible for whoever is listening and meaningful to them. He hopes for his words to be impactful. His patience is endless; delighting in aiding others to discover and understand new concepts and, most importantly, themselves.
