Concept[]
Codie Ray is born in [REDACTED]. Codie made the corageous decision to completely part ways with his family and go on his own journey to becoming an idol.
as he goes on in his journey, he soon finds out that he may not be alone, as he finds multiple versions of himself looking for him
History[]
2020[]
Codie Ray's first ever voicebank was recorded in July 1st. the voicebank was titled BETA, it was a CV voicebank with a soft tone. on July 29th, Codie Ray BETA was released.
later on August 1st, recording for Codie Ray V1 had started. on August 3rd, Codie Ray V1 was released. Codie Ray V1 was the first CVVC voicebank to have a neutral tone.
on September 15th, Codie was given a new design, and plans for a new voicebanks were growing.
on November 11th, Codie Ray V2 Beta was made and released for a short time before being discontinued, V2B was a CVVC voicebank with a neutral tone, and was the first multipitch voicebank for Codie Ray. a test VCV voicebank for Codie Ray was also made on November 13th. The voicebank stayed private.
on December 1st, Codie Ray MINT for DeepVocal was made. MINT was a private voicebank. later that same year, on December 7th, append voicebanks for Codie Ray were posted on Soundcloud, XTN/Landbreeze was teased along with XTN/Tornadovelocity. XTN/Landbreeze was a voicebank with a deep tone, and XTN/Tornadovelocity was a voicebank with a powerful tone. though, both appends were never officially released due to errors in the voicebank. on December 13th, a C+V English voicebank was teased as a joke on SoundCloud.
on December 22nd, recording for Codie Ray V3 was finished. and on December 23rd, Codie Ray V3 was teased through SoundCloud.
2021[]
on January 25th. Codie Ray V3 was released. Codie Ray V3 was a tripitch CVVC voicebank.
plans for an Indonesian voicebank were made, and recording for Codie Ray ID started on June 21st.
on October 5th, two new appends were teased. the first append was a voicebank with a nasally tone, the second append was a voicebank with a solid tone.
2022[]
on January 22nd. Codie Ray V4 was released. V4 was a successor to V3, with only one pitch added to the voicebank. as such, V3 was discontinued in favor of V4.
on August 17th, Codie Ray ID was released. Codie Ray ID was a CVVC voicebank.
around October, Codie Ray AI started development. additionally, recording for Codie Ray ENGLISH had started. no plans of releasing the English voicebank were made
on November 16th, Codie Ray AI was teased for the first time. Codie Ray AI was a voicebank for the NNSVS engine. no plans of releasing the AI voicebank were made.
2023[]
for CVFest, a CV voicebank for Codie Ray was created. and on February 19th, Codie Ray LITE was released. Codie Ray LITE was a monopitch CV-VV voicebank with a powerful tone.
on July 29th, two new appends were released, PALETTE and FELIDAE. Palette was a monopitch CVVC voicebank with a solid tone, and Felidae was a monopitch CVVC voicebank with a nasally tone. both voicebanks were made to be successors of the XTN voicebanks. additionally, Codie Ray V4 was rebranded into Codie Ray BASE, or simply Codie Ray.
later that same year, the Re:Codie Ray project started as an update to Codie Ray. Codie Ray Re:BASE was first to be re-recorded on October 19th.
on December 3rd, recording for Codie Ray CHINESE had begun.
following Re:BASE, Re:PALETTE was recorded on December 19th, and Re:FELIDAE was recorded on December 22nd.
2024[]
on January 7th, Codie Ray Re:BASE was first teased. following Re:BASE's teaser, Re:PALETTE and Re:FELIDAE were teased shortly after. subsequently, all previous voicebanks were taken down following the Re:Codie Ray teasers. Codie Ray Re:BASE was the first voicebank to introduce voice colors to Codie Ray.
on April 22nd, development for Codie Ray CHINESE was completed, and the voicebank was teased on April 25th.
on July 29th, the Re:Codie Ray voicebanks were released
2025[]
on July 29th, it was announced that the Re:Codie Ray voicebanks will receive updates. on the same day, Re+Codie Ray (read as ReCodie Ray PLUS) was released partially. a second update for Re+Codie Ray is currently in development.
