Cheetahloid is the official term for UTAU voicebanks made by MikuMikuCheetah. The Cheetahloids are considered a massive group of voicebanks. This page is a work-in-progress by its creator and is unfinished.
Each Cheetahloid has a number for tracking purposes. There are over 60 characters, with a wide variety of voices and style; each one has a standard CV voicebank (romaji encoded, hiragana aliased) with a good oto and voice quality. Due to the amount of characters, most of them do not have a VCV voicebank. The creator encourages anyone to use a Cheetahloid for their projects.
Each Cheetahloid has a personal backstory that connects to their personality. Some backstories have mythical elements, but all involve the character dying. Character deaths can be due to direct causes, or more indirect causes like extreme depression or loss. After their death, "master" (MikuMikuCheetah) uses their reincarnation powers to give the characters an opportunity to live a second life. This deal includes free food, water, and shelter. The only catch is they need to work as an UTAU to sing and dance on master's command. The Cheetahloids have to learn to get along with each other since they all live in the same house (the Cheetahloid house), which can cause drama, romance, and new friendships to occur. MikuMikuCheetah and their friends roleplay the situations in the Cheetahloid house, and anything in their roleplay becomes canon in the Cheetahloid story.
History[]
There are three generations of Cheetahloids.
The first generation was released in 2013, with all the voicebanks having planned updates in 2017. These voicebanks were made with the regular voices of the creator and their friends.
The second generation was released in 2014. They are all completely new characters and voices, with none reused from the first generation.
The third generation was created in 2015, but most of its characters were released in 2017 due to the creators' hiatus. These characters are especially unique with well-made voicebanks.
