Canonically, Alberto was a genuinely manipulative person who has a tendency to befriend others for information, disposing them afterwards through "breaking" them in the mental sense with sensitive information he discovers. This is especially in regard towards those who were close to Vertigo. Otherwise, however, he's seen as an introverted nerd with a serious/cold demeanor, but a generally relaxed personality. Later down the line, more of his true self comes out in the form of someone who is very compassionate and caring, though often displayed as nonverbal.

- Izzo - a variation of Ezzo and the name Ezzo goes back to the 10th century and means "NOBLE"
- Alberto - derives from the name Adalberto which in turn derives from Athala (meaning noble) and Berth (meaning bright)
- Oliver - comes from Old Norse meaning “ancestor's descendants.” It also stems from the Latin and French words for “olive” or “olive tree”, respectively
