Aimi Kimura was originally supposed to be based off of Japanese voice actress, Terakawa Aimi , however her final design doesn't reflect that.
Aimi had 2 redesigns before her final design was decided upon by VEL with the help of a color generator website.
Aimi is supposed to be an idol and her 1.0 outfit was very loosely based off of the outfits of MORE MORE JUMP! from the game 'Project Sekai: Colorful Stage!'
Aimi's 2.0 artwork was done similarly to the artstyle of the game 'Project Sekai: Colorful Stage!'
Aimi's Whisper voicebank design was inspired by the artwork for Lent Lily by Zig.
