Abel Da Silva was born to two human parents. His mother died when he was 8 and he grew up with a cold and distant Catholic father. Abel took up contract work to get away from home and his skills as a monster hunter eventually landed him a job as an agent for the Global Police Force.
On a particularly rough night, he met with and slept with Roland Fukitsuma. Roland ended up having his son, a man by the name of Caine. Abel would not figure this out until years later where they would meet again, and he was not at all pleased about this.
His job eventually took him to the rural parts of New York. While there he met a woman named Gremory Crona, a member of an elite vampire family who are down on their luck. Gremory took interest in him and convinced him to stay at her home instead of getting a hotel. Abel took interest in her and would visit her as often as he could. They eventually got married. Abel took Gremory’s name and she turned him into a vampire on their wedding night.
As months passed Abel started dreading coming home. He found out volatile and vindictive Gremory can be. He also wasn’t a fan of the rest of the Crona family. Not to mention one of the servants of the household was none other than Roland. He contemplated divorcing her but she brought up having a kid with him. Abel initially refused but Gremory pressured him into saying yes. They eventually had a son named Henry.
Ironically Abel ended up becoming a better parent than Gremory, as she proved herself to be emotionally, psychologically, and eventually physically abusive towards Henry. Abel felt uneasy every time he left the house. His suspicions were eventually proven right when he came home one night and saw Henry with horrific burn scars on his face. Abel confronted Gremory about it and she said she had to punish Henry. Abel and Gremory got into a shouting match and she threw some punches at him. Gremory threw him out of the house and told her family that Abel was abusing her. She would eventually gain custody of Henry.
Abel became so guilt ridden he quit the GPF agency and moved as far as he could to start a new life. He made his home in Ginsenyoko. He was working a regular job until he met the young police chief Zukume Fukitsuma. He decided to sign up as a police officer to keep an eye on the lad.
Abel met his future husband, Souma Corveleyn, while out on an investigation. He was initially neutral towards Souma but he slowly formed a strong relationship with him and eventually realized his feelings for him were of a romantic nature. Currently, they live together in a townhouse, doing their best to support Abel's son and, by extension, his son's friends and loved ones.
Canonically, Abel is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Depression, often struggling in his job due to sound sensitivity.
Concept[]
Everything stated about this character is CANON information. Do not take this character out of canon.
Abel is a stoic and quiet man who rarely shows any outward emotion. Not to say he’s uncaring, quite the opposite in fact. When he gets close to someone he will treasure them until the end of time. He has a hard time showing it however. He spends most of his time working, thus he’s tired and exhausted all the time. He tends to tug on his hair when it gets long enough
