Shaped by the mind of whoever dares looking at the mirror, just a fraction of the "self"... The deepest "you" that waits to shout the truth.

AC (アイシイ / aisii) is a voicebank for the UTAU program created by Nihilium Wave. It's original purpose is to be used as a dummy voice for reclist testing.

Profile[]

AC is a Dreamtonics-inspired mascotless UTAU. Most of the "character" is up to the users. However a few details have been canonically sated and must be respected:

  • Age: Above 18
  • Gender: Non-binary (any pronoun)
  • Species: Undefined

AC has no real physical appearence, as this entity can be shaped in any way one's mind desires. As well, they don't have a set up personality. Their chamaleonic behavior goes hand-in-hand to each individual's mind. However, their behavior and looks are usually tied up to the subconscious and the "real inner mind" of the user. Thanks to such nature, the only stable element in this entity is their name: AC.

Etymology details[]

When adressing the voicebank or character, please use the official name or the katakana name.

  • AC: Official name. A shortened version of Altericide.
  • アイシイ: The Japanese localization name for AC.
  • aisii: The romaji name for the Japanese localization.

The name is pronounced as "I see".

Relationships[]

AC has no official relationships, as everything about the character is up to the user.

Voicebank details[]

A documentation with a list of all the phonemes is being worked on.

Warning: 07/04/2024

If an encoding error happens, and hiragana becomes unreadable, please use the info provided in this wiki. As far as we know, this error should not affect the oto. If the oto is corrupt, please contact Nihilium Wave.

Latest Update: 24/06/2024

AC's voice is described as an androgynous, unstable voice. This lack of stability in the original wav files remains in the OG uploads, made for testing reclists and not recommended for public usage. However this is not a prohibition for users to try and use the voicebanks, it is encouraged to do so, to give feedback about the Reclists, Oto and pronunciation.

Below is a list of special characteristics of each voicebank.

  • Fragment (Japanese): Right now, this list only focuses on Fragment.
    • Starting Vocals (- a)
    • Normal Vocals (a)
    • Blending Vocals (-a-)
    • Breath-ending Vocals (a R)
    • Alternate Romaji NN aliases (nn & n)
    • Hiragana aliases (exceptions: la, lya, rra, va family phonemes)
    • "English" can be achieved easier with the Blending Vocals and the excepcions listed above. Manual edition could be required.
  • Roulette (Multilingual): The reclist (Chance Reclist) follows Spanish phonetics and the voicebank is romaji encoded. Only some phonemes have been included in this list (the most conflicting ones).
    • Normal Vocals (a)
    • Blending Vocals (a e)
    • Breath-ending Vocals (a R)
    • Exclusive N aliasing (nn)
    • Ñ phonemes (nya)
    • Japanese bya (etc...) phonemes are included, only exception are the Ñ phonemes.
    • Phonemes that include starting or ending r phonemes in any kind of phoneme that has a CC (CCV, VCC, etc...) might have a strong Spanish accent, making the rs a bit rolled. Manual editing can be done to make them softer.

UTAU voicebanks[]

The voicebank could be difficult to use in UTAU.

  • Roulette Voicebank will include C- phonemes from version 2.0 onwards, as well as a documentation wiki. These changes will be applied to OpenUTAU as well.
    • The voicebank can be downloaded from the Early Access website.
    • The voicebank is missing the u phoneme in the oto.ini. A fix will be provided.
  • Fragment will be updated to version 3.3.
  • Updated voicebanks will update their FLAGS and settings, and the Official Website will be updated as well.

Trivia[]

  • Altericide is the old name of the group that works in AC's development.
    • The name was decided to stay as a metaphor for AC's voicebank.
  • As well, Altericide means Alter Ego Killer.
  • It has been stated that AC can be "everywhere at the same time", as if they were an omnipresent being.
  • AC is usually described as Non-Binary and using They/Them pronouns, however they seem to be fine with any gender and pronouns, as well as wearing any kind of clothing.
  • AC has been officially stablished out of the lore of Nexys4t's characters, making the fact that all "Alternate Universes" and imagination of their physical appearance (as well as personality) are canon.
  • AC is the third voicebank from the Arches' Nexus group to have a dedicated development time, specifically due to the remake and update of the Chance Reclist. The first one is Heccan and the third one is AZOA.
